STRATEGI LEMBAGA PENGEMBANGAN INSANI DOMPET DHUAFA MENINGKATKAN PERAN PUBLIK UNTUK PENDIDIKAN

Tulisan ini diawali dengan uraian tentang Lembaga Pengembangan Insani Dompet Dhuafa. Dijelaskan bahwa, salah satu lembaga yang concern terhadap masalah kesejahteraan sosial tersebut adalah Lembaga Pengembangan Insani Dompet Dhuafa (LPI DD), yang melakukan edukasi publik agar masyarakat turut serta dalam membangun masyarakat sejahtera melalui program pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif yang berupaya meneliti tentang sebuah subyek secara mendalam. Penelitian dilakukan pada tahun 2010. Data-data dikumpulkan dengan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumen. Selanjutnya data-data tersebut dianalisis dengan cara melakukan kategorisasi- kategorisasi terhadap upaya-upaya edukasi publik untuk kesejahteraan sosial melalui jalur pendidikan, sehingga menghasilkan beberapa tipologi strategi edukasi publik yang dilakukan LPI-DD untuk mewujudkan masyarakat yang sejahtera. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga strategi edukasi publlik yang dilakukan LPI DD, yaitu: pertama, strategi fungsional, yang menekankan pada kekuatan dan kemampuan internal lembaga dalam melakukan komunikasi dengan publik dari segi penetapan sasaran, tujuan, pesan, media, sumber pesan, dan umpan balik. Kedua, strategi diferensiasi, yang menekankan pada keunikan dan kestrategisan program pendidikan untuk membangun masyarakat yang sejahtera. Ketiga, strategi korporat, yang menekankan pada kemampuan dalam membangun kerjasama dengan berbagai pihak untuk bersama-sama mewujudkan masyarakat yang sejahtera.This paper is begun with explaining about development of Dompet Dhuafa Foundation. It is clearly explained that one of foundation which concerns with social welfare is Dompet Dhuafa Foundation that does education to public in order to the people join in building social welfare through educational program. This study uses qualitative research to attempt examining about such a subject deeply. This study has been done in 2010. The data is collected by interviewing, observation and field note technique.Then, those data are analyzed by categorizing to some efforts of public education to social welfare through education, in order to get some typology strategies of public education is done by Dompet Dhuafa Foundation to actualize prosperous society. The achievement of current paper shows that there are three public education strategies which are done by Dompet Dhuafa Foundation, those are : first, functional strategy which emphasizes on force and internal capacity of institution in doing communication with publics from view of arragement of the target, purpose, message, media, source of information and feedback. Second, differentiation strategy emphasizes on the novelty and strategic educational program to build prosperous society. Thirdly, corporate strategy emphasizes on capacity in building collaboration with some parties to achieve prosperous society mutually.
