Abstract

This study aims to determine the perceptions of students of the Arabic Language Education Study Program regarding the effectiveness of online learning during the pandemic at IAIN Pontianak. This research approach is quantitative research with survey research type. The population in this study were Active Students of the Arabic Language Education Study Program in semesters 1,3,5, and 7 with a total of 230 people. Sampling used simple random sampling technique and resulted in a research sample of 134 people. The type of instrument used is a student perception questionnaire. This research provides an overview of the effectiveness of online learning in the Arabic Language Education Study Program. effectivenessof online learning during the pandemic at IAIN Pontianak is in the "Good" category. However, it should be understood that all aspects of getting IKM scores are in the interval close to the upper limit of the poor category. So this should be of more concern for the Arabic Language Education Study Program to evaluate and improve in the future to accommodate the problems faced by students during online learning during the pandemic. The suggestion from the researcher is that with the perception data of Arabic Language Education students on the effectiveness of online learning during the pandemic at IAIN Pontianak, the Study Program should follow up on this perception data in order to develop and improve the quality of the Arabic Language Education Study Program at IAIN Pontianak.
